“Overall, I find the bike very comfortable. I took almost no time of all to become accustomed to the unique pedal motion and the effort required to pedal is very comfortable . . . A promising potential use of the bike lies in the rehabilitation of patients with range of motion limitations.”

"Many of my patients were pleased with the early intervention of equipment (from TRB) they could do alone . . . the TRB products could become a better alternative to knee and hip physical therapy rehabilitation."

"Without my ALENAX bicycle, my goal of competing in the Winter Olympics Biathlon Trials may not have been reached...I feel the ALENAX System provides a better and more complete workout than can be obtained using a bike with a traditional (pedaling) system."

Kim Miller, USA Olympic Biathlete

" . . . One of the bike's early fans is football's Jim Marshall, who played defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings from 1961 to 1979. He got a titanium artificial knee after his right knee was broken in a small plane crash. Marshall was among the many celebrity athletes at the 5th Annual Sports Legends gala benefit in West Orange NJ to raise money for the Newark YMWCA. "When I walked into the room and looked at the bike, I saw that it used such a different concept and principal," Marshall said "I love this bike I'm going to win this thing." I bought a raffle ticket and to everyone's surprise I won. It's a great bike, and it's very easy to ride."

Jim Marshall, NFL Pro Bowler & Hall Of Famer
Defensive and for the Minnesota Vikings from 1961 to 1979

" . . . It is with great excitement that I endorse the ALENAX riding system. Since my days as a professional basketball player, I have always worked diligently at maintaining a healthy body. Due to my left knee being without any cartilage, this has become more of a challenging over the years. That is why I was so thrilled to find and use this technology. ALENAX's patented Natural Motion Technology has provided me with a good workout, without aggravating my knee. It provides both aerobic and anaerobic benefits. There is no doubt in my mind that ALENAX's new generation of bicycles and fitness products will provided many people with a safer, healthier, and more natural way to exercise.

What I like about biking, is that you combine the cardio-pumping energy of racing with the philosophy of meditation. Its great mind and body.Traditional pedaling puts incredible stress on the knees and joints. . . Here's the answer : The Transbar Power Bike . . . This is the most incredible bike, its great!"

TESTIMONIALS:

I first became aware of the Alenax bicycle back in 1989. Mr. Yim attended one of my “sports performance and injury prevention” lectures for the United States Bicycle Hall of Fame. He invited me to test ride his new technologically advanced bicycle. Having completed numerous century rides and the New York City Marathon as an avid cyclist and a runner, I jumped at the chance.

From the first push of the pedals, I knew this was not some little change but a quantum leap in how people can move on two wheels. Almost effortlessly, the bike pushed forward. My legs were moving up and down, not around! Like most all, I grew up pedaling one way. I thought my legs would only of around but this was more like walking, natural with comfort and ease, except much faster. There was no knee or back strain. I had to have one.

My first ALENAX bike is still in use both on the road and on a magnetic trainer. Over the years my mother has “borrow it” for an exercise program I designed, and my dad successfully used it in the rehabilitation program I prescribed following knee surgery.

As a chiropractor having treated thousands of patients, my job is to one by one diagnose the cause of their health problem, help their body heal, return them to their normal active life, and help prevent future problems. The ALENAX bicycle has helped.

The ALENAX bike’s vertical pedal motion allows:

      · More natural movement
      · Adaptive exercise when a walking program is to stressful
      · Rehabilitative exercise for restricted knee, hip, and ankle
      · Less lumbar stress
      · Strengthening of individual leg
      · Increased speed with less effort
      · Ease of use (forward foot position allows less experienced riders to feel safe)
      · More regular exercise (became it’s fun)

“ My observations of the ALENAX Systems bicycle were quite impressive. When I was the Executive Director of H.E.A.R.T., a cardiac rehabilitation and physical therapy center at New York Medical College, we used a ALENAX Systems “prototype model” to have patients who were unable to ride a normal bicycle with 360-degree excursion of the pedal, ride the TRB bicycle. I saw the impact and excitement of the individuals riding the bicycle. Something they could not do with a normal or stationary bike. These patients with limited range of motion in the hip, knee, and ankle were able to ride and exercise again.

The second impression was that post surgical knee patients were able to ride the bike (on a stand) immediately as they did not have to pedal in an arc that would put pressure on the knee.

Interestingly, when I used it myself found my fatigue was located in the belly of the thigh muscle and not in the insertions of the muscle (knee or hip). The ALENAX bicycle is a wonderful means of transportation and for leisure activity for someone with limited range of motion or arthritic hips, knees and ankles that enjoys bicycle riding.
